I don't think I have updated this thing in freakin' forever so here is a play my play of my life. Have a boyfriend. Yes, I know. Go me. It's going pretty awesome and the family liked him a lot (even the uber protective older bro). These next two 1/2 weeks are going to K-I-L-L me hardcore. I have a legal theory paper due Thursday that I'm going to "start" tonight and I say "start" because I'm not actually starting it...I'm "starting" it which in my mind means skimming my notes and writing a very brief outline. I have been so academically lazy this semester and I'm going to pay for it while studying for my Campaign Politics final. I'll survive tho. I have faith.

A little something to occupy me that isn't school workCollapse )

The beginning of the end...I registered for my final semester this week. I cannot believe I'm graduating. I love coming home and getting the "what are you going to do with your life" lecture from my parents. I am 21. I still have my life ahead of me...I'm sure I can figure something other. Here are my classes

Visual Journalism (Stoked about this class)
American Newspapers (Class with Fink...finally)
Horticulture (Oh yeah...taking a care of a plant...might prove harder than anticipated)
Art Appreciation (Jess and I are going to appreciate art together...it's going to be fabulous)
And finally...badmitton. Oh joy. Not a completely slack semester but slack enough for me.

So I walk in to advising today with my little POD request sheet, putting down my 14 choices for the one POLS class I need to graduate and Paul drops fun news on me. The INTL class that I took in Oxford that I thought would just apply for my upper division elective for Grady (since I had satisfied my INTL req for SPIA). Paul delights me by saying he figured out a way to make it count as a POLS credit...so I have no more POLS classes after this semester. I will be able to graduate SPIA in December. All I have to take to graduate is one Grady course and my PE. CRAZY. Of course I'm going to pad my schedule, maybe with some horticulture or something else to have a nice and easy final semester of college. Woot for Paul Welch, my hero.

Welcome to the land of the offically effed traveler. As many of you have heard...or as you probably will....a major terrorist plot got foiled today that included planes flying from the UK to the U.S. This does put quite a burden on my trip home tomorrow. As far as I'm aware, I am still flying back but I cannot take anything on the plane except money my passport, and my ticket. Nothing else. No music player or mags or anything. 9 hours with nothing. I'd rather know I'm safe tho. this is just crazy. they woke us all up for an emergency meeting to talk about it. we're going to have to leave oxford at like 4 am to make sure we make our noon flight on time. This is just so surreal. It toally would happen to me tho. Just my luck.

Attention...Attention...there have been Harry Potter sightings here in fair Oxford. Alan Rickman (aka Snape) was seen entering Balliol College (the college right next to mine) yesterday and Emma Watson (Hermione and an Oxford native) was seen on the streets the other day. Just felt like sharing.

P.S. Woot new Killers Oct 2
